I completed a six-month internship as a Marketing Assistant at Rutherford, a financial recruitment company specialising in compliance. Working with the Marketing Manager, I worked on various content and marketing initiatives aimed at improving the company's search engine rankings. I carried out in-depth competitor research and compiled and analysed Google Analytics reports to understand how to improve website traffic and overall functionality. I proposed content initiatives for keyword optimisation, wrote and copyedited reports on market trends and interviewed experts in the field, which I then uploaded to the website.
I completed a series of ten articles, based on a conversation with the non-profit organisation HerCapital, highlighting gender inequality in the financial services industry and offering advice to women on how to overcome the pay and recognition gap. I was also responsible for liaising with external partners to organise meetings and helping to plan and run corporate events.
After completing the internship and moving abroad, I continued to work for the company as a freelance content writer until January 2022.

The company mainly used LinkedIn to market itself and recruit. During my internship, I introduced a 'Roles of the Week' post to highlight key vacancies that colleagues could share with their networks. This content initiative was very successful and the company still uses it today. I also created videos to share high-priority and desirable roles that we knew would generate a lot of traffic.
